Moroccan FM received by Romanian president
Morocco-Romania, Politics, 7/4/2003

Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohammed Benaissa, who is currently on a two-day visit to Romania, was received here on Wednesday by Romanian president, Ion Iliescu, on the sidelines of the Moroccan-Romanian joint commission.

Benaissa also met Romanian premier, Adrian Nastase, speakers of the parliament, Nicolae Vacaroiu and Valer Dorneanu and his Romanian peer Mircea Geoana, over European, regional and international issues.

The head of the Moroccan diplomacy said he is convinced that the accords signed at the end of the meeting and those that are being negotiated, particularly related to the establishment of a free trade zone will be a qualitative breakthrough in bilateral relations. "results reached by Romanian and Moroccan experts are promising and in line with our ambitions to promote our economic, financial, social and cultural cooperation, he insisted.
