Three quarters of scholarship applications satisfied in 2002-2003, minister

Three quarters (75%) of higher education scholarships applications have been satisfied for the 2002-2003 academic year, minister of higher education and scientific research, Khalid Alioua, said Wednesday.
Speaking in question time at the House of Representatives, the minister said his department had earmarked 528 million dirhams (some $53 million) for higher education scholarships.
All applicants from southern Morocco received a scholarship, he went on.
Alioua added next year will be the outset for the first phase of pedagogic reforms, aimed at adapting curricula to the job market.
