Trial of 31 members of Salafia Jihadia adjourned

The appeal court of Casablanca decided Wednesday to adjourn the trial of 31 members of "Salafia Jihadia" group, including a group leader -Youssef Fikri, to this July 4 to give lawyers time to prepare their argument.
During Wednesday's hearing, Banque Populaire requested to be considered a plaintiff in the case, as it was victims an embezzlement attempt by a member of the group.
The group members, one of whom is in temporary release, are sued for conspiracy, murder with premeditation, mutilation and dissimulation of bodies and murder attempt by gun, possession of guns and ammunitions without authorization, possession and use of knives and teargas grenades.
They are also accused of robbery, kidnapping, and sequestration, use of false administrative documents, falsification of number plates, arson, complicity and usurpation of identity and position.
The first hearing in the case took place on June 25 after one year of investigations.
