Morocco, Syria agree to create joint arts and crafts academy

Morocco and Syria agreed Wednesday to set up in 2004 a joint academy of arts and crafts.
The academy will see to foster know-how exchange in handicraft, Moroccan culture minister, Mohammed Achaari, said at a work meeting with his Syrian peer, Nejoua Kessab Hassan. The two Arab officials agreed to set up an experts commission to define the academy's operation mechanisms and draft its programs and budget.
