Yemen arrests four Aden army members

The Yemeni security forces yesterday arrested four members belonging to Aden- Abyan army group among those who were able to flee from Hatat mountain during the attack which was launched by the Yemeni security forces against the group last week.

A security source said the security forces, in collaboration with members of the armed forces chased those fleeing members who were able to escape from Hatat area and on Tuesday arrested three of them while carrying out inspection operation in several areas of Abyan province, in the south of Yemen.

Later, Yemeni security officials announced arresting a fourth member belonging to the same group in the southern city of Lahj. Thereby, the number of persons arrested from this group arrested after they were chased in more than one governorate increased to 22. Khaled Muhammad Abdul Nabi was leading this group. He was killed in the attack which was launched by the security forces.

The security source explained the chasing operation continues to arrest all members wanted by the justice. The source added: "police forces and terrorism fighting units supported by army and helicopter groups continue the process of search and inspection in various parts of Abyan province, where members who were able to escape to mountains during the government forces breaking into the group's positions."
