Calls for the creation of Maghreban Arabic language academy

Participants in a Maghreban forum on the contribution of the Arabic language in solidarity and unity between Maghreban countries, held here on June 29-30, called for the creation of a Maghreban academy of Arabic language, sciences and culture to promote research and education.

They also recommended the creation of Maghreban associations in fields related to the Arabic language, sciences and culture, particularly linguistics, translation and literary creation, highlighting the role of Arabic language in enhancing identity.

The encounter urged education ministers and specialized research centers to encourage the teaching of joint Maghreban history and the generalization of the Arabic language utilization.
