Lebanese Synodus wraps up visit to Syria

The Holy Synodus of the Roman Royal Catholics, headed by Patriarch, Gregarious III Laham has concluded its second stage session in Beirut following the first stage session in Damascus.
In its final statement the Synodus stressed the commitment of the Catholic Church everywhere to the issues of coexistence, development, peace and justice.
Synodus stressed solidarity and interaction between the peoples, religions, cultures and civilizations.
The statement expressed hope that Syria restores back the occupied Golan heights and Lebanon its Shebaa Farms. The statement underlined the necessity for peace to prevail in the Middle East and all the world.
