Syrian preparations to joint the WTO

SyriaÕs Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Ghassan Rifaee, met on Saturday with participants at the training course which was organized to qualify the team which is assigned to negotiate Syria's future joining the World Trade Organization.
The minister underlined the importance of such a training courses which will pave the way for Syria to enter the international markets.
He pointed out that Syria is shouldering responsibility after having applied to join the World Trade Organization including the task to train personnel.
Other speakers underlined the available opportunities for the crystallization of new pattern of growth that is based on private investment and trade.
It is worth mentioning that representatives of most of the state ministries and establishments are participating in five-day training course which was organized by ESCWA Socio-economic committee and Cairo University.
