Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara received in Damascus on Saturday a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Maher.
The two sides reviewed the latest developments in the region and the importance of the continuation of consultations between the two states.
Later in the day, al-Shara received Chief of the Political Department at the Palestinian Liberation Organization.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region especially in the Palestinian territories.
The two sides agreed on "the importance of realizing the national unity at the Palestinian arena to face the challenges imposed by the Israeli aggressive policy against the Palestinians."
