Syrian - Lebanese transport cooperation

Committee of transport and transit sector in the Syrian-Lebanese businessmen council held in Damascus on Saturday a meeting chaired by chairman of the committee, Abdul-Rahman Al-Attar.
The committee discussed tariffs of crossing between the two states and it was decided on offering a memorandum to the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council General Secretariat to be presented to the Cabinet in this regard.
The committee also discussed transit tariffs to Iraq, issue of joining Syria to the treaty of the international transport of goods by roads.
The committee decided to hold its meetings on the borders between the two states for briefing directly on crossing difficulties and means of facilitating transport between Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
