Mubarak Scientific City chosen as location for Misr Sat

Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and minister of State for Scientific Research Mufid Shehab said Friday Mubarak City for Scientific Research has been chosen as the location for the Egyptian remote sensing satellite (Misr Sat).
Shehab, speaking to reporters upon his return from Ukraine, Shehab said that his visit was aimed at following up the manufacture process of Misr Sat and the necessary preparations for establishing the ground station, which will receive the data of the new satellite.
Shehab further said that he signed up a memorandum on the second phase of the Egyptian satellite in addition to an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the field of remote sensing applications. The Egyptian Minister added that Misr Sat would be launched in next October.
