Gas well of 250- 300,000 cubic meters capacity discovered east Homs

Syria's Minister of oil and mineral resources Ibrahim Haddad has announced the exploration of a new gas well at al-Dal'a position, 100 Km to the east of the city of Homs, 90 Km to the south of al-Raqqa city.
In a statement to SANA yesterday, the minister said that the production capacity of the new gas well which was explored by the Syrian Petroleum company is estimated between 250,000 to 300,000 cubic meters daily and the total reserves of the well is estimated at 1.2 billion cubic meters, according to the preliminary study.
The minister added that the production capacity of the new well supports the national production of currently invested gas estimated at 22 million cubic meters of gas daily.
Worthy mentioning that the Syrian Petroleum company carries out exploration works for oil and gas undertaken by Syrian national expertise.
