Seale and the situation in ME; Blair made UK prisoner to US policy

British journalist Patrick Seale has stressed that the statements of the American President George W. Bush and the Secretary of State Colin Powell who refused to blame Israel for its acts of aggression against the Palestinians affirms that the United States has no desire for reaching a just solution for the Palestinian cause.

In an article issued in the London- based al-Hyatt newspaper yesterday, he described the American diplomatic efforts on the Palestinian-Israeli track as shy because they aim only at saving the Roadmap.

Concerning Iraq, he asserted that the Americans put themselves in real trouble because they had no justified reasons for occupying Iraq, stressing that the American presence there doesn't serve any national interest.

Seale said that Blair's irrational war against Iraq made Britain a hostage to the American project that violated international law and the world opinion.

He went on to say that Blair's bias to the United States against France and Germany caused division of European unity and hindered the emergence of the strong and united Europe.
