Saudi Arabia arrests the person behind the Riyadh explosions
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 6/27/2003

Saudi Arabia's official radio said yesterday that the person behind the Riyadh explosions which took place on May 12 has been arrested.

The official radio quoted the official at the Saudi ministry of the interior as saying that Ali Abdul Rahman al-Ghamidi surrendered voluntarily to the Saudi police. The radio said that Ghamidi has relations with al-Qaida organization which stands behind September 11, 2001 attacks.

Al-Ghamidid is within a group of 199 persons wanted by the Saudi authorities suspected to have links to the explosions which resulted in killing 34 persons in Riyadh in May.

The Saudi official told the radio that "Justice will take its due course, according to enforced law."
