Sudan seeks Egyptian expertise in oil refineries, pipelines

Egypt's Ministers of Public Business Sector, Mokhtar Khattab and Petroleum, Sameh Fahmi left to Khartoum yesterday on several-day visit.
Khattab will meet with number of Sudanese officials to tackle strengthening ties between Egypt and East African countries. Sameh Fahmy would have talks with Sudanese Minister of Energy and Mining, Awad Al-Gaz on means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the oil domains.
Gaz, in press Statements, expressed hope that the Egyptian public and private sectors would start investment in Sudan.
"The Egyptian ministers' visit will help increase Egypt's oil investments in Sudan in the domains of prospection, drilling refining and marketing," said Gaz.
Fahmy said that there are Egyptian oil companies currently operating in Sudan.
