Morocco moves forward in FIFA ranking
Morocco, Sports, 6/26/2003

Morocco has won one standing, moving from the 38th to the 37th rank on FIFA ranking with a total of 613 points.

The Moroccan team, 5th among African ones, is exempt from the African preliminary heats of the 2006 world soccer cup slated in Germany.

The Africa Football Confederation had decided to exempt from these heats African nations that played in the 2002 world soccer cup finals (Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia and South Africa) as well as the four best African teams on the FIFA ranking.
