Court adjourns to next july trial of Salafia Jihadia members

The appeal court of Casablanca adjourned on Wednesday to next July 2 the trial of 31 members of a group named "Youssef Fikri," an offshoot of the Salafia Jihadia.

This is the first hearing of the case after one year of investigation.

The group is facing charges of forming a gang of criminals, manslaughter with afore thought and malice, mutilating and hiding corpses, murder attempt, possession of firearms, of ammunitions and of cutting objects, burglary, kidnapping, sequestration, arson, forgery and identity theft.

The trial adjournment was decided to enable the defence prepare its arguments and enable some of the group members to have the assistance of an attorney.
