Burns: I asserted Bush administration's determination to implement roadmap

Emerging from his meeting with president Mubarak, US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs William Joseph Burns, said he was happy to return to Cairo to convey to President Mubarak the US President's appreciation of the partnership between Egypt and the United States, the role to be played by Egypt and cooperation regarding issues of common interest to the two countries.
He said his talks with President Mubarak were positive and focused on the Palestinian Israeli cause and the importance of moving ahead towards a comprehensive settlement.
