Acts of riots in Jordan over results of elections

The Jordanian governorates of Amman, Irbid, Jarash and al-Karak witness during the two past days, demonstrations and acts of riots over the results of the recent Jordanian Parliamentary elections.

The Jordanian Petra News agency quoted sources at the Jordanian Ministry of the Interior that in Na'our area which is affiliated to Amman, that members of al-Ajarema tribe whose candidates failed to win the seat allotted to the area carried out acts of riots and set fire in farms and trees, but the riot fighting groups controlled the situation and arrested those who were behind these acts.

The provinces of al-Karak and Irbid also witnessed similar acts of riots intercepted by the riot fighting forces which restored calm to the site of the violence.

Sources at the Jordanian ministry of the interior said that the security forces interfered and settled the conditions.
