Al Ahmar conveys al-Assad's greetings to Malaysian PM

Malaysia's Prime Minister Makatheir Muhammad, who is Secretary of the Malaysian Amno Party, held a meeting on Saturday with Assistant Secretary General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar, who is taking part in Amno Party conference, together with other delegations.
Al-Ahmar conveyed the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to Malaysia's Prime Minister. Talks dealt with relations between the Baath Party and Amno Party, and with ways of consolidating these ties in service of the solidarity of the people of the countries of the west in the confrontation of challenges.
Mahathir expressed Malaysia and the Amno Party' support for the Arab nation's struggle against the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the Syrian Golan and South Lebanon.
Al-Ahmar took part in a meeting of the participating delegations with Deputy Secretary of the Amno Party, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. During this meeting Al-Ahmar briefed the delegations on the developments in the Arab region, and on Syria's stances on these developments. He referred to the danger of the Israeli continuous occupation and aggression and to the safety and stability of the region, and on world peace in general.
