Lebanese minister for a just and comprehensive Peace
Lebanon-Regional, Politics, 6/21/2003

Lebanese Information Minister, Michel Samaha stressed in Abu Dhabi yesterday Syria and Lebanon's commitment to just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East in line with the international resolutions asserting the unity of the two tracks which constitutes an example of the Arab solidarity.

In a statement published at the U.A.E al-Bayan newspapers Samaha affirmed that achieving just and comprehensive peace is the guarantee to achieve security, stability and the economic development in the region.

He denied any relation between Hizbullah and terrorism. "The Americans and Westerns failed to prove that Hizbullah has any relation with terrorist acts at any spot in the world. Hizbullah's crime is that it succeeded in defending Lebanon against the Israeli occupation. They (the US) recognized and dealt with Hizbullah through the committee that had reached April Understanding" he said.
