Shara meets with French intellectual, head of Syrian- US club

Syria's Foreign Minister, Farouk Shara, received in Damascus on Thursday Chairman of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Denis Bauchard.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region, the Arab European relations and their role in boosting understanding and dialogue among Arabs and Europeans.

In this regard al-Shara stressed the important role of the Institute as a center of the Arab culture in Paris for presenting the real image of Arab and their participation in the human civilization.

Al-Shara also received a delegation of the Syrian-US Club's Board of Directors in California chaired by Muhammad Adib Al-Bani, Chairman of the Club.

Talks dealt with the situation in the region and expatriates role to defend their countries' issues abroad and to be a bridge for the continuous contact between their motherland and countries they are living in.
