Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak announces start of 13th Reading for All Festival

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak will address the Sciences and Mathematics conference in the 21st century that is held under her auspices on June 20-23.

The Conference covers the problems of education systems in the sciences and mathematics in the developing countries.

The conference is under Ismail Sirag Eddin director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

ΚΚΚ Meanwhile Mrs Suzanne Mubarak, gave Wednesday night the go-ahead to a new year of an ambitious programme to promote reading among different age groups.

"The Reading For All Project has become one of the main features of the cultural life in Egypt," Mrs Suzanne Mubarak told a gathering at the Nile-side Cairo Opera House."

The festival has become a festival for culture shared by each family in Egypt to get access to various disciplines of knowledge.'

ΚΚΚ The festival, Mrs Suzanne Mubarak added, is designed to encourage children, young people and family to read, as well as boost national pride in our culture.

The Reading For All scheme has been carried out with great success for many years all over Egypt under the auspices of Mrs Mubarak.

An ad hoc committee will be set up in each governorate under the chairmanship of the governor and with membership of local officials and university professors.
