One Palestinian killed, four houses demolished; Qassam missile hit settlement
Palestine-Israel, Military, 6/19/2003

The Israeli occupation forces yesterday incurred into Rafah area and bombarded three houses and leveled agricultural lands, while acts of breaking in and arrest were carried out in the West Bank that resulted in demolishing one house and arresting 14 Palestinians. One house was damaged in a settlement to the north of Gaza by a Qassam missile fired by Palestinian resistance men.

An Israeli military source said that Palestinians launched "Qassam" missiles on Tuesday evening at "Niteve Hasara" to the south and no wounded were reported. This missile which was fired from northern Gaza resulted in large damages in one house, a matter which indicates that the Palestinian resistance has become more accurate in hitting their objectives, targeted by al-Qassam missiles.

Meantime, a Palestinian medical source said that one Palestinian died of wounds he had during the Israeli raid which targeted Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi -- a resistance leader on June 10th in Gaza.

The medical source said that Hamid Habboush ( 45 year old) died in Gaza of his wounds he had during the failed assassination attempt of Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi. Thereby number of persons killed in this operation increased to four. The source added that since last Tuesday until Wednesday, 30 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli raids against Gaza including five women and two girls. Yesterday, the Israeli authorities opened Rafah border crossing which was the only crossing point between Egypt and Gaza after it was closed for two days, for security reasons, according to a source in the Egyptian side of the crossing.

On the other hand, a military statement said that the Israeli army demolished on Tuesday a house of a Palestinian belonging to al-Aqsa martyrs group of the Fatah movement in Jaba' to the south of Jenin. Witnesses said that a Palestinian youth living in a neighboring house was wounded in the explosion.

Meantime, al-Aqsa martyrs group and the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine -- general command, announced in a joint statement their responsibility for the operation which targeted on Tuesday an Israeli car near Qalqilya and resulted in killing one Israeli woman.
