Syrian- French communication, transport relations

Syria's Transport Minister Mukram Obeid and French Minister of Equipment, Transport, Housing, Tourism and the Sea Gilles de Robien reviewed in Paris yesterday ways of activating the signed agreements between the two transport ministries in the two countries.

The two sides discussed the possibility of French contribution to the study of development projects of Damascus International Airport and the railway between Damascus and Aleppo.

Obeid expressed Syria's desire for French participation at the development of the transport sector in Syria.

For his part, de Robien expressed his country's readiness to participate at the economic projects in Syria.

The two sides agreed on resuming talks and signing agreements through the coming visit of the French minister to Syria the coming July.
