Egypt bids to salvage Mideast peace plan

Palestinian factions are expected to hold a full meeting in Cairo soon to reach a deal on a unified national programme in a bid to restore all legitimate rights of the Palestinians, the foremost of which is the establishment of the independent state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported yesterday.
