Moroccan FM meets Algerian President
Morocco-Algeria, Politics, 6/17/2003

Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa, met here on Saturday Algerian president, Abdul Aziz Butaflika.

Benaissa, who paid over the weekend a visit to Algeria, told the press the meeting looked into all issues of interest to the two "brotherly countries, and those that serve their common interest at the bilateral, regional and international levels."

The Moroccan foreign minister added that he extended to the Algerian minister the condolences of King Mohammed VI, the government and the Moroccan people following the earthquake that hit the brotherly country on May 21.

Algeria's Minister of State For Foreign Affairs Abdul Aziz Balkhadem, and other Algerian officials were present at the meeting.

Earlier, Benaissa held tete-a-tete talks with his Algerian peer prior to the broad delegations' meeting.
