Van Damme memorial raises fund to build school in Marrakech

Funds collected from selling the original placard of Van Damme memorial 2003 will be given to UNICEF Morocco to build a school in Marrakech.
A partnership agreement was sealed in this regard between Van Damme Memorial and the UNICEF, in the presence of Moroccan athlete and UNICEF ambassador Hisham El Guerrouj.
"In Morocco, our wealth is the youth (É) to build a school means encouraging the youth to go there. It also means fighting illiteracy," said El Guerrouj as reported by the Belgian press.
The Triple world champion will participate later this year in the 3,000m of Van Damme memorial that is the last step in the Golden League.
