Israel was ready to bargain the Golan by Comprehensive peace with Syria ?

Former US ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk said yesterday that former Israeli heads of governments, Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak and Benjamin Netanyahu "were ready to give up the Golan heights for a comprehensive peace with Syria." Indyk's statements which was quoted by the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot came during a conference held at Tel Aviv University under the title "the reasons behind the failure of Camp David 2000."
