Lebanese minister holds with Syrian officials in Damascus

Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara received in Damascus yesterday his Lebanese counterpart, Jean Obeid.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories and Iraq.
The two ministers stressed the importance of coordination and consultation between the two states concerning the Arab and international issues.
Later in the day, Vice President Abdulhaleem Khaddam received the Lebanese Foreign Minister. They stressed the need for reviewing the Arab situation in order to boost Arab cooperation and solidarity to face current dangers.
