Spanish FM in Mauritania

Spain's Foreign Minister Ana Maria Palacio expressed the solidarity of the Spanish government with Mauritania's President Mu'aweya Wild Taye'. In a press statement following her talks with the president in Nouakchott on Saturday, Palacio said that the Spanish government refuses any undemocratic change to the democratically elected regime.
Palacio added that she had discussed with Mauritania's President the role played by her country in the Euro- Mediterranean dialogue and international issues of mutual concern.
