Top Egyptian prizes go to leading engineering

Egypt's 2002 Mubarak prize for sciences went on Wednesday to leading reconstructing Professor Ahmed Moharam Ahmed.
A recitation for the L.E. 100,000 prize said that Ahmed had to his name a string of research published in leading journals.
The prestigious prize of the same cash value in advanced technology wee awarded to Dr. Mahmoud Mahfouz, a pioneering professor of oncology. Dr. Mahfouz has over 55 published research papers to his name.
Mufeed Shehab, Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research announced the names of the two winners along with other winners of the State Award of Appreciation in Sciences Wednesday evening.
