France condemns Rantissi's assassination attempt

France condemned Wednesday the Israeli assassination attempt against key Hamas leader Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi.
"After al-Aqaba summit that revived hopes of settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Israel targeted Rantissi in blatant contradiction with what the Israeli government had said regarding halting violence and aggression," spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry Fran¨ois Rivasseau said.
