Qathafi meets with Burkina Faso President

Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi received yesterday President of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaore, member of the Presidium council of the desert and coastal states.

The Libyan official News agency said that the two leaders reviewed during the meeting "conditions to the west of the African continent and in the continent in general.. as well as means of strengthening peace and stability," as well as "bilateral relations between the two countries, prospects of developing them and means of strengthening the African Federation march and the coalition of the desert and coastal states."

Qathafi, on the other hand, received a personal envoy of the President of Senegal, Abdullah Wad, member of the Presidium council of the desert and coastal states coalition.

The Libyan news agency said that the envoy Karim Wad conveyed to Qathafi a "message from President Wad that falls in the course of continued consultations and coordination on developing the mechanism of the African federation, bilateral relations between the two countries and means of strengthening them." President Wad reinvited Qathafi to visit Senegal "so as the people of Senegal will be able to welcome him as an African leader, working for the victory of the African continent causes for progress and prosperity of its people."
