First Arab forum of small, medium-sized industries to be held in UAE

The first Arab forum of Small and Medium-Sized Industries will be held this June 21-22 in Sharjah (UAE), Organizers announced Monday in Riyadh.
Chairwoman of the Arab center of economic and political development, Zeinab Abdelhadi, said the two-day encounter will study the creation of a financial institution in the Arab world with an international vocation and that will have an initial capital of US $20 million collected mainly from Arab and developed countries' subsidies.
The institution will finance small projects and extend them assistance via training, expertise and technologies.
The forum will discuss financing sources, ways to encourage young people to create their own projects, creativity in investment, competition and local, regional and international marketing of small and medium-sized industries' products.
The encounter is organized by the Arab center of economic and political development in collaboration with the trade and industry chambers of Jeddah and Sharjah with the support of the Arab League, the World Bank, the Arab-German chamber and many international institutions.
Several socio-economic sectors and multinationals will be represented in the forum.
