Another group of 18 suspects in Casablanca attacks appear before court

Another group of 18 suspects in last May 16 terrorist attacks of Casablanca appeared before the court of appeal of Casablanca, said the tribunal's general prosecutor, Abdellah Alaoui Belghiti.

The group includes French national, Pierre Robert, who had been arrested in Tangiers on June 3 in connection with the probe on the terrorist attacks.

A total of 67 suspects have been brought to trial at the court of appeal that ordered their imprisonment.

The source also announced another group of individuals suspected of preparing other terrorist attacks were arrested and will stand trial as soon as the investigation is completed.

They are facing charges of setting up a criminal group, undermining the internal security of the state, sabotage, premeditated murder, deliberate damage that caused wounds and permanent disablement and involvement in such acts.
