Al-Itihad: Seale and the war in Iraq

British writer, Patrick Seale stressed yesterday in Abu Dhabi that the war on Iraq was mere trick, asserting that US President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair decieved the world with their allegations that Iraqi weapons threatened the security of the region and the world as a whole.

In an article published by al-Itihad newspaper, Seale wondered whether Bush and Blair were provided with false reports or they took the alleged Iraqi weapons as a pretext to justify their intention for war against Iraq.

He also asserted the importance of the dialogue on the legitimacy of the war and the Iraqi weapons which the international inspectors have not found, because it will protect other states from similar charges from the Americans.
