Blair, his aides missinformed citizens , the world, to justify Iraq war
Iraq-UK, Politics, 6/7/2003

British Prime Minister, Tony Blair's aides called on the British intelligence to reformulate the file of the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, reported the BBC yesterday.

The British news network quoted a source close to the British intelligence as saying that Blair personally took part in re-writing the file before it was published in September 2002.

The BBC said that such information backed the statements made by defence expert Andrew Gilgian in which he said that the Premiership had called on the intelligence to make the Iraqi file more exciting to justify war against Iraq.

According to the final formula of the Blair's report, Baghdad's regime was able to use chemical and biological weapons on a 45 minutes notice. Meanwhile, US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the CIA used good quality information regarding the alleged banned Iraqi weapons.

CNN obtained a document from a report prepared by the CIA maintaining that the US administration did not have confirmed information about Iraq's possession of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

CNN quoted a paragraph in this document saying, "There are no real information on whether Iraq produces or possesses chemical weapons."

ΚΚΚ The report completely denies US and British claims about Iraq's possession of such weapons, added the all-news network.

Scott Ritter, a former chief weapons inspector accused the United States and Britain of lying when they claimed that the former Iraqi regime possessed weapons of mass destruction.
