Meeting for the Palestinian leadership led by Arafat

A Palestinian official source said that the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat held a meeting on Friday with senior officials in the Fatah movement and the Palestinian Liberation Organization PLO in order to discuss results of the tripartite summit which was held on Wednesday in al-Aqaba, Jordan.
An official at Arafat's office said that members in the PLO executive committee and other officials held a meeting with Arafat at his general residence in Ramullah ( the West Bank).
Arafat was due to have held then talks with members of the central committee of the Fatah movement on the results of the meeting which was held on Wednesday between the Palestinian prime minister Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli Ariel Sharon in the presence of the UN President George W. Bush.
Arafat was ruled out of this summit which officially launched the international peace plan known as "the Roadmap" which states the foundation of a Palestinian state by the fall of 2005.
