Bush: we have spent a long time in Sharm Esh Sheikh talking about Syria
Syria-USA, Politics, 6/6/2003

US President George W. Bush said in statements issued yesterday that he had "spent a long time" with the Arab leaders in Sharm Esh Sheikh Summit in discussing "our joint concern over Syria and the desire to convince it to close the offices of terrorist organizations in Damascus."

Bush explained in his statement on board of the presidential plane during his travel from Sharm Esh Sheikh to al-Aqaba "it was a very fruitful discussion. I think it was very important for the ( Palestinian prime Minister) Mahmoud Abbas to listen to it."
