Yemen destroys more than 2000 landmines

A spokesman for the Yemeni government said on Monday evening that more than 2,000 anti personnel land mines, explosives and bombs were dismantled near Taez in the context of the program to dismantle landmines in Yemen which was started in 1998.
Since the beginning of the program, Yemen had destroyed more than 120,000 mines or bombs.
