Syrian-British Society launching ceremony in London

The General Board of Syrian-British Society held its first meeting in London yesterday on the occasion of its establishment in the United Kingdom following its public establishment in Damascus last Saturday.

The Chairman of the British side, Member of the House of Common and members of the Execution Council have opened the session stressing the importance of the establishment of this Society for developing the bilateral relations between the two countries on all levels as well as strengthening the relations pointing out to the two exchange of visits between the President Bashar Al-Assad and Prime Minister Tony Blair to embark on new cooperation and understanding between the two countries.

They also indicated the necessity of establishing a permanent dialogue between the specialized parties in order to fulfill the ambitions of the two countries.
