Football: Wydad, Raja Casablanca advance in African cups
Morocco-Regional, Sports, 6/3/2003

Morocco's Wydad and Raja Casablanca advanced to the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Cup Winners (C-2) and the African Confederation (CAF) Cup (C-3), respectively.

Wydad, winners of last year's C-2, found no difficulty to trounce Libya's Al-Ahly of Benghazi 4-0 Sunday in Casablanca.

The two teams had tied 2-2 in the first leg match, played a fortnight before in Libya.

In C-3, Raja Casablanca walked over F-105 of Gabon 6-1, despite a 1-2 defeat in the away match played in Libreville.

Little-fancied Hassanya Agadir, a novice in African competition, saw their adventure in the African Champions League, stopped in Abidjan after a 0-1 loss to the experienced ASSEK. The away match in Agadir had wound up on a scoreless draw.
