Number of victims in Algerian quake increase to 2666 deaths, 10147 wounded

New numbers by the Algerian ministry of the interior yesterday said that the quake which hit Algiers and its suburbs on May 21 resulted in killing 2666 and wounding other 10147.
The previous number released on Thursday indicated the killing of 2261 and wounding of 10147.
However, the increase in the number of killings is a result of removing collapsed buildings by bulldozers in areas where rescue men stressed impossibility of finding survivals.
Hundreds of houses and buildings collapsed in minutes in the area during the quake which was at a grade of 6.8 at Richter Scale.
