American consulate in Lebanon closed since 1984, reopened

The American Consulate in Oker will reopen its doors before applicants for entry visa to the USA as from next Monday in its new building, after an explosion had targeted the Consulate in 1984 and resulted in closing ever since.
The American ambassador to Lebanon, Vincent Battle, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Consulate in the presence of Lebanese political figures and ministers, besides members of the US congressmen Darrel Issa.
