Jweili: a call to establish the Arab common market very soon

Secretary general of the Arab economic unity council Ahmad Jweili stressed in Cairo yesterday the necessity for exerting all efforts in order to establish the Arab Common Market as soon as possible.
Jweili pointed out that facing the world economic blocs require unifying the Arab economies in order to strengthen their economy.
He also affirmed that the Arab Common Market agreement which was signed in 1964 by 8 Arab states and supported by the Arab Economic Unit Council resolution No. 1092 for the year 1998 called for activating the agreement among Arab states by the year 2004.
