National industrial database

Egypt's Ministry of Industry and Technology has started to implement a national project to set up a national industrial database to provide information to investors and industrialists.
Minister Ali el-Saidi said that the project would use the geographical information systems in cooperation with the Cabinet, ministries, investors' associations, and the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Minister el-Saidi added that the project was part of ongoing efforts to establish an industrial database that will monitor changes locally and internationally.
"This national project will provide the most up-to-date and the most accurate information besides analyses to help decision-makers at all levels," the minister said.
