Saudi crown prince confers with Japanese prime minister

The Japanese prime minister on Sunday evening in Riyadh discussed with the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah the Middle East peace process and the situation in Iraq.
The spokesman for the Japanese prime minister said that the talks dealt also with the Japanese proposal to convene an international conference under the auspices of the UN on re-building Iraq, noting that his country vowed to give aids at USD 100 million for Iraq of which some USD 30 million was already paid, while other USD 50 million will be paid within the few coming days to contribute in creating 35,000 work opportunities and to give aid to elementary schools in Iraq.
