Sharon will not head for Egypt to meet with Abbas
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 5/27/2003

An Israeli official said yesterday that the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon will not head for Egypt in order to convene a meeting between him and the prime minister of the Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas in the presence of the US President George W. Bush.

The Israeli official who asked to be anonymous explained that Sharon will not certainly head for Egypt due to Egypt's position towards the Israeli government which he described as hostile. American officials, however, talked about a possible tripartite meeting in Egypt following the G8 Summit in France in June.
