Washington reopens its embassy, consulate in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia-USA, Local, 5/26/2003

Saudi Arabia has reopened doors of its embassy and consulate to Saudi Arabia before clients as from yesterday ( Sunday) after it had closed it last week for fears of attacks similar to those that took place on May 12 against several residential complexes inhabited by foreigners in Riyadh.

A statement by the American embassy in Riyadh said it will open its doors (today) yesterday as well as the two American consulates in Dahran and Jeddah, but it called on the Americans to continue to be cautious and kept the move of its diplomats at the lowest profile.

Washington had closed the doors of its embassy and consulates in Saudi Arabia following the attacks of May 12 against Riyadh which resulted in killing 34 persons including 8 Americans, two British and two of the attackers and wounding 200 persons.
